Jon, this is just his usual bull-schtick...the media and MAGA eat it up. I know folks claim he has dementia but, frankly, this shit disproves it. He's always done this - saw it when I was a young commercial real estate broker in NYC.
The bottom line: unfortunately, we need the bottom to drop out on the economy, interest rates to spike and people's wallets to be laid bare before non-voters and independent voters are motivated enough to overcome the Republican effort to manipulate the 2026 mid-term elections. And even if there is a blue wave, will there even be 67 votes in the Senate to remove Trump? Probably not - so the best we'll be able to do is reduce the ongoing destruction.
I think it's plain that Trump has suffered serious mental deterioration--and probably physical as well. I have not seen any analysis of his speech patterns, use of language, ability to stay on topic or general thinking that does not reflect much worsening. Senility and similar conditions do not lead to new behaviors so much as they reduce inhibitions that previously conditioned how a person reacts.
It is true. Trumps speeches are crazy time bullshitting. He just babbles stream of consciouness nonsense. If he were in assisted living (I guess he already is!) he would be a lockdown candidate. The lack of attention to this is astounding.
AS is right, though. People will need to hurt badly before they demand he depart. And pain is on the way.
