Welcome to The Old Curmudgeon

This will be an occasional series (because I’m not disciplined enough for a schedule) of comments on what interests me that I think you might find interesting or useful, too. Much of it will be about politics, some about foreign affairs (of the official or semi-official kind) and some is likely to concern incidents or anecdotes that I think are amusing. As the name of this page suggests, I am old, and I am a curmudgeon. I hope you will find what I have to say interesting enough to read it, and perhaps sometimes infuriating, to boot.
